Both are cotton, similar in weight, but the twill has a noticeably smoother hand and a softer drape. Canvas has a more rugged, structured personality — it holds its shape stiffly. Twill moves more naturally with the body and looks slightly more refined. If canvas is the workhorse, twill is the everyday jacket you reach for without thinking.

It works well as a mid-layer for most of India — Pune, Bangalore, Delhi winters with a light layer underneath. For hill stations or high-altitude destinations, treat it as a transitional layer rather than a standalone outer shell.

Natural cotton can shrink 3–5% on the first wash. Wash in cold water and air dry rather than machine dry to keep this minimal. The jacket is cut accounting for this, so following the care instructions should keep the fit consistent.

Cold machine wash or hand wash with a mild detergent. Air dry on a hanger — this preserves both the shape and the colour. Do not tumble dry. Iron on medium heat while slightly damp if needed. No dry cleaning required under normal circumstances.

It does crease with wear — that's the honest answer. But twill's diagonal weave structure means it recovers better than most natural fabrics. Light creases tend to fall out on their own after a few minutes of wearing. For anything more stubborn, a quick steam or a medium iron while slightly damp brings it back. Over time, regular wear actually helps the fabric settle and crease less.

Some softening of colour is natural with cotton twill, and most wearers come to appreciate it — the jacket develops character over time. To slow the process, wash inside out in cold water and dry in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight when drying.

We'll need to look into import regulations and duties specific to your country before confirming, so there may be a short turnaround before we can give you a clear picture. Once we have it, we'll share a full breakdown of shipping costs (the garment base cost will be the same as what you see in INR converted to your currency) and any applicable customs duties before you commit to the order — no surprises landing at your door. International shipments are also subject to factors outside our control — geopolitical disruptions, customs delays, and the like — which we'll be transparent about as well.

Because managing returns across borders isn't practical for either party, we won't be able to offer the same return and exchange window that applies to domestic orders. To make sure we get the fit right the first time, we'll ask you for some detailed measurements before the order is confirmed — chest, shoulders, and ideally the measurements of an existing jacket or shirt that fits you well and comfortably. This way we can match you to the right size with confidence before anything ships.
