Completely. Industrial hemp — the plant used to make textile fibres — is legal in India and has been cultivated here for centuries. It contains no psychoactive properties whatsoever. What you're wearing is a fabric, the same way linen is a fabric. The confusion stems from hemp being botanically related to cannabis, but they are entirely different in composition and use. The outer shell has the natural colour and texture you'd expect from hemp-cotton — more characterful than smooth cotton, less so than raw linen. But it never actually touches your skin. The jacket is lined with a soft cotton-flax layer that sits against the body — breathable, lightweight, and comfortable from the first wear. The texture of the hemp is something you see and feel on the outside; what you wear against your skin is something else entirely.

Yes — this is one of hemp's best qualities. Unlike synthetic fabrics that degrade with washing, hemp-cotton actually improves. The fibres relax, the hand gets softer, and the jacket develops a lived-in quality that's difficult to replicate with newer fabric. The more you wear it, the better it gets.

It's a lifestyle piece — suitable for anything except hot weather. It is lighter than our canvas jacket and meant for year-round casual wear rather than serious cold weather. Think of it as your grab-and-go layer for evenings, travel, and weekends. For colder conditions, layer it over a heavier knit.

Relaxed and slightly oversized — the same philosophy as our other jackets. It's designed to sit comfortably over a tee or a light shirt without feeling like a tent. If you want it to sit closer to the body, size down. Refer to the size chart for chest and shoulder measurements.

Cold machine wash or hand wash with a mild detergent. Do not use a hot dry cycle. Air dry on a hanger. The fabric is resilient and handles washing well — better than most natural fibres, in fact. No dry cleaning needed. Iron on medium heat while slightly damp if required.

Hemp-cotton blends are actually more dimensionally stable than pure cotton — hemp fibre has a lower shrinkage rate than cotton, so the blend behaves better in the wash than a 100% cotton jacket would. That said, some minor shrinkage of 2–3% on the first wash is possible. Cold water washing and air drying on a hanger keeps this to a minimum. Avoid tumble drying — heat is the main culprit for shrinkage in any natural fabric. Follow the care instructions and the fit will remain consistent wash after wash.

Yes. Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, unwashed, and has all tags intact. Sale and clearance items are not eligible.

A few things worth knowing upfront. We'll need to look into import regulations and duties specific to your country before confirming, so there may be a short turnaround before we can give you a clear picture. Once we have it, we'll share a full breakdown of shipping costs (the garment base cost will be the same as what you see in INR converted to your currency) and any applicable customs duties before you commit to the order — no surprises landing at your door. International shipments are also subject to factors outside our control — geopolitical disruptions, customs delays, and the like — which we'll be transparent about as well.

Because managing returns across borders isn't practical for either party, we won't be able to offer the same return and exchange window that applies to domestic orders. To make sure we get the fit right the first time, we'll ask you for some detailed measurements before the order is confirmed — chest, shoulders, and ideally the measurements of an existing jacket or shirt that fits you well and comfortably. This way we can match you to the right size with confidence before anything ships.
